Summer break for Dhamma School We will be having a summer break for Dhamma School for the month of July. Classes will resume on August 05th Saturday.
The goal of the Boston Buddhist Vihara (NEBV & MC) Dhamma School is to provide the children who attend with knowledge of the doctrine of the Buddha, so that they become enriched with it and develop into virtuous individuals as they grow older. The School provides the foundation for them to become fruitful members of the society with compassionate minds.
To accomplish this valuable objective the Center offers lessons of Dhamma to all who wishes to learn the Buddha’s teachings - Dhamma. The School runs from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on alternate Saturdays. The age range to admittance to the Dhamma School is from 2yrs to 18yrs. Classes are free of charge and conducted by the resident monks as well as volunteers from the community.
The Dhamma school classes begin by seeking refuge in the Buddha, Dhamma and the Sangha by reciting the five precepts in Pāli. The school year runs from January to December and registration is required for all new students.
